C.A.N. offers connection to safety, hope, recovery, counselling, redress, compassion, confidentiality and access to trained and experienced supporters. People to walk with you, who understand.

— How C.A.N. Helps —

C.A.N. is a network of trauma-informed and sensitive volunteers who share the experience of being impacted by abuse by clergy or abuse by lay workers in religious contexts.

Advocacy

C.A.N. advocates for justice and accountability.

Volunteers

C.A.N. is a volunteer network founded on safety, trust, respect, empathy, understanding, confidentiality, compassion and collaboration.

Supporters

C.A.N. includes partners, parents, other family, friends and supporters of people abused in religious contexts as children or adults.

Proactive

C.A.N. engages in proactive and constructive conversations with religious institutions to generate better understanding of what it is like to live with the aftermath of abuse by clergy.
